Binging whole book series back to back is one of my favorite ways to read. Even better than a Netflix marathon in my book. Here are my my favorite series I binged read in 2017.
The Splintered series by A.G. Howard
- Brief Description: Darker version of Wonderland generations after Alice Liddel’s visit.
- Series Debut: January 1st, 2013
- Series Completed: December 15th, 2015
- Genre: Young Adult Fantasy
- # of books in series: 4 Books
- Titles in Series: Splintered, Unhinged, Ensnared, Untamed
- My Rating: 3.5/5 – 4/5 (I know it wasn’t perfect. But I loved this series so I’m conflicted on the rating.)
- Spin off?: The Author has says she plans to write more books about her version of wonderland and the characters. No real info yet.
World Walker series by Josephine Angelini
- Brief Description: Alternate universes. This version of the world is run by witches.
- Series Debut: September 2nd, 2014
- Series Completed: September 20th, 2016
- Genre: Young Adult Paranormal Fantasy
- # of books in series: 3.5
- Titles in Series: Trial by Fire, Firewalker, Witch’s Pyre, Rowan
- My Rating: 5/5
- Spin off?: Not currently. Author is open to the idea but no plans as of yet.
Mythos Academy series by Jennifer Estep
- Brief Description: Boarding schools for descendents of warriors from mostly Greek Mythology. Villian is Loki.
- Series Debut: August 1st, 2011
- Series Completed: February 25, 2014
- Genre: Young Adult Fantasy
- # of books in series: 6 full books, 3 short stories
- Titles in Series: Touch of Frost, Kiss of Frost, Dark Frost, Crimson Frost, Midnight Frost, Killer Frost
- My Rating: 4.5/5
- Spin off?: Yes. The First book of the spin off Spartan Heart came out December 5th, 2017
Library Jumpers series by Brenda Drake*
- Brief Description: Warriors who can jump between libraries to protect the doorways separating magical creatures from the human world.
- Series Debut: January 5th, 2016
- Series Completed: The final book comes out February 6th, 2018
- Genre: Young Adult Fantasy
- # of books in series: 3
- Titles in Series: Thief of Lies, Guardian of Secrets, Assassin of Truths
- My Rating: 4/5
- Spin off?: Nothing expected or commented on.
Shadow Falls series by C.C. Hunter
- Brief Description: Summer camps for teens of various magical species.
- Series Debut: March 29th, 2011
- Series Completed: April 23rd, 2013
- Genre: Young Adult Fantasy Paranormal
- # of books in series: 5 books & 4 novellas
- Titles in Series: Born at Midnight, Awake at Dawn, Taken at Dusk, Whispers at Moonrise, Chosen at Nightfall
- My Rating: 4/5
- Spin off?: Yes. Shadow Falls: After Dark has 4 books and 3 novellas.
*I haven’t finished this series yet as the last book hasn’t come out yet but I binged the two books that were out and it was one of my favorite series to read in 2017 so I added it anyway.

I love splintered. It surprises you. Because much like how Wonderland should be portrayed, Nothing is as it seems or as it says. haha.

As I follow them book by book I would say none… but I loved Shadowfalls!

I hate having to wait for books! Plus I tend to not discover series until they’ve been out for years. Or rather I procrastinate on series until they have been out for years.

The World Walker series covers are amazing! And the Mythos Academy one sounds pretty cool as well…and Library Jumpers. I’ll have to keep those in mind when I feel like starting a series 🙂

I just realized the Trial by fire covers I posted dont have the last book just a different version of the first book. lol. BUT yes they are all good series. Im actually reading the last book in the Library Jumpers series right now!
